Installation Guide

1. Flate level compacted base

It is essential to have your water tank on a FLAT LEVEL COMPACTED BASE. Concrete slab of brick, gravel with trowelled sand top surface must be at least 300mm to 400mm thick that extends beyond the diameter of the tank that should not be eroded by wind or rain.

2. Inspection of Base

Make sure that the surface area is free from sharp stones, free roots, iron bars or debris etc. the tank should be installed in upright position, supporting the entire base of the tank.

3. Sufficient space

Leave sufficient space between the tank and any surrounding structure to allow for expansion when the tank is filled. We recommended a minimum of 100mm all around.

4. Use of proper tools

Do not use chisel form making a hole in a tank, this can crack the tank wall. For leak proof fittings, always use a right tools for pipe fitting.

5. Supported pipe work

The pipe connections should be properly supported, unsupported pipe work puts excessive strain fitting and tank wall, this will lead to stress in the tank over a period of time.
